fabulous family of five continued

My last blog post before I took an awesome cross-country Christmas family vacation was of this fun family, so today I thought I would share a few more from their session.  This was a great session in downtown Santa Barbara and it actually drizzled a little before the shoot (which, as many of you know, happens almost never in Southern California!).

The ins and outs of custom photography

As y’all know, I am a huge fan of NAPCP.  Out of all the different memberships that I hold, NAPCP is truly one of my favorites.  There’s something to be said about a warm, caring community of like-minded professionals who can share ideas and gain support.  I also love that NAPCP has a blog just for parents.  A few days ago, talented friend and photographer Claire Smith posted this awesome post on just what exactly goes into custom photography.  Be sure to hop on over to their blog to check it out. While you’re over there, be sure to scroll down through the blog…there’s several great posts on photography and decor and well, life in general :)  Happy Hump Day!

When this fun San Jose based family commissioned me for their family portrait, I was so excited because 1) The dad had the most awesome location idea-Santana Row shopping and eatery area (www.santanarow.com) 2) I had never visited San Jose before and 3) This family sounded so friendly on the phone I just couldn’t wait to photograph them…

Thank you so much guys for having me over!!!
